Our Philosophy
By providing a comprehensive, person centred and holistic
service – Powys
Drugs & Alcohol Centres aim to minimise harm to individuals and communities
affected by substance misuse, and so enabling people to make informed choices
and positive changes to their lives.
Why refer yourself or someone else to P.D.A.C.
It is an opportunity for them to examine their substance use and the consequences
related to it
We can support them to make lifestyle changes and help them to manage relapse
We can provide advice and information about the risks associated with their
substance use/misuse.
We can assist them in accessing Healthcare and other medical treatment they
may require. This may include substitute prescribing and/or detoxification.
We can refer on for in-patient detoxification and/or residential rehab
We can advocate on their behalf with other agencies e.g. probation & social
services, housing and employment
